Most builds mean chasing beams from one yard, formply from another and flooring from a third, on three different schedules. Auswood carries the structural, formwork and finishing categories your job needs, across four branches nationally, so your site team deals with one account and one delivery conversation.
Four categories, one trade account. Order across all of them on the same invoice, from the same branch.

A trade account gets your business set up to order across every category Auswood stocks, on trade terms, without re-quoting from scratch on every job. Apply online through Request a Quote, or in person at your nearest branch.
Ready to set one up, or want to talk through pricing on a current job first? Open a trade account or request a quote — either one gets you talking to the branch team.
A trade account gets you trade pricing and account terms across the full range. You can still request a quote without one — apply for the account alongside your first order if that is simpler.
Both. Collect from your nearest branch, or arrange site delivery. Delivery is subject to Auswood’s delivery terms — talk to your nearest branch about what that looks like for your site.

All four branches — Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth — carry the structural, formwork and flooring categories. Call your nearest branch to confirm stock on a specific line before you rely on it.
Laminated veneer lumber — thin wood veneers glued in layers under pressure, running the same grain direction. It gives a straighter, more predictable member than sawn timber over long lengths.
On bending strength, yes, by a wide margin over standard sawn framing grades in the same section size — which is why LVL runs longer spans with fewer supports.
Auswood’s LVL is specified for dry interior use only. It should stay below 18% moisture content in service — if a member is going to see sustained moisture, that is a different product conversation.
No — Auswood’s LVL is a dry interior product. Decks, pergolas and anything weather-facing need a different specification. Talk to a branch about the right product for exposed applications.
Subfloor applications are fine provided the space is ventilated in line with the NCC. Direct, unventilated contact with concrete is a moisture risk for any engineered timber product.
LVL is timber, so it needs the same termite management as any other structural timber product on a site — treatment level depends on location and application. Ask your branch about the right treatment for your job.
It is a dry-use, straight-member product only — no exterior exposure and no curved applications, which is a glulam job instead. It generally costs more per metre than standard sawn framing, which the reduced waste and longer spans need to offset.
Used within its specification — dry interior, correct treatment level, designed to AS 1720.1 — LVL is a permanent structural product for the life of the building, the same as any other engineered structural member.
Open a trade account or send through your quantities and a branch will come back with pricing and stock.
